This lecture presents a SWOT analysis of AI in Digital Humanities, drawing on the speaker’s interdisciplinary background in business and Chinese Languages and Civilizations. It examines how AI’s capacity for large-scale textual analysis can both enhance and risk flattening humanistic hermeneutics. Using global case studies, the talk explores curriculum redesign to foster computational literacy and ethical discernment, highlighting successful AI integration in language pedagogy, archival curation, and digital storytelling. Finally, it addresses career anxiety among humanities graduates, framing AI as an augmentative partner and offering actionable strategies for early-career researchers to proactively engage with technological change.
