Introduction
This workshop integrates archaeological resources and artificial intelligence to explore possible pathways for transforming knowledge derived from cultural artifacts into innovative teaching materials for history education. Using the Marquis Yi of Zeng’s bronze bells and their inscriptions as a case study, the workshop examines their historical context and musical system, discussing how specialized research can be translated into classroom content. It then presents an AI-assisted redesign and recreation of an excavated pottery tripod, encouraging reflection on the reinterpretation of historical objects within contemporary contexts. The program includes a guided visit to the related tripod installation at the Indra and Harry Banga Gallery.
